Currently, the K9 Unit boasts 28 highly trained dogs—20 focused on narcotics detection and eight on explosives. Supported by 24 trained officers, they’ve significantly ramped up their operational activity. Just this year, they’ve hit 341 field deployments, with plans for even more in the future.
All of this operates from a purpose-built facility that includes 54 kennels and comprehensive support for training and veterinary services, backed by six dedicated K9 transport vehicles.
