Central Superior Services Examination 2024 Results: A Closer Look
The results are in! The Federal Public Service Commission recently unveiled the outcomes of the Central Superior Services Examination (CSS) 2024, and they reveal some surprising numbers. You might find it quite interesting that the success rate was only 2.48%. In a field where 15,602 candidates participated, only 229 managed to clear the exam—119 males and 110 females. That’s quite a competitive arena!
What’s particularly eye-catching is that, although 397 candidates cleared the written exam, the numbers dwindled after the viva/interview stage. It’s a reminder that in competitive exams, clearing the written segment isn’t the end of the road; there’s still more to prove in the interviews.
Geographically, the candidates came from diverse regions. Most successful candidates hailed from Punjab, with 269 representing the province. Sindh (Rural) contributed 33 candidates, while Sindh (Urban) had 19. Khyber Pakhtunkhwa had 31, Balochistan 22, and just two from Gilgit-Baltistan. Unfortunately, there were no success stories from Azad Jammu and Kashmir this time. This distribution highlights the representation of different areas in Pakistan and reminds us that opportunities and resources may vary widely across the country.
On a more celebratory note, the top three achievers of this year are Muhammad Shafay Ijaz, who took the first position, followed by Sana Rasool in second, and Momina Azhar in third. Their success stories are sure to inspire countless others gearing up for future exams.
A striking aspect of this year’s results is that 19 out of the top 20 qualifiers made the choice to join the Pakistan Administrative Service, while only one candidate opted for the Police Service of Pakistan. It makes one wonder—what drives these choices? The allure of administrative roles may point to a desire for impactful governance. Interestingly, none of the top 30 candidates selected the Foreign Service of Pakistan—a notable departure from previous trends.
