Celebrating Art and Healing: Upcoming Events in Islamabad

Art has a remarkable ability to connect us, and Islamabad is about to witness a stellar fusion of creativity and introspection with the upcoming exhibition "In Trinity Together." Hosted by the Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA), this retrospective celebrates the incredible journey of Dr. Raja Changez Sultan, an acclaimed painter and poet.

Opening on September 17 at PNCA Gallery 1 and the Grand Hall, this exhibition showcases six decades of Dr. Sultan’s work. Curated by Noor Fatima, it’s more than just an art show—it’s a narrative that reflects Sultan’s explorations of myth, identity, and the beauty of nature. With pieces like The Himalayan Odyssey and The Crucifixion of Eve, many of these works have never been publicly unveiled before, making this event a must-see. Ms. Natalie A. Baker from the U.S. Embassy will kick off the celebration as the guest of honor, adding an international touch to this culturally rich occasion.

Looking to engage the community further, PNCA will host special programming on September 25, which includes an Artist Talk, poetry readings by Dr. Sultan himself, and even a live painting demonstration. These interactive elements aim to deepen the connection between the artist and the audience, making the exhibition all the more meaningful. Visitors can enjoy this artistic feast until October 1, excluding Saturdays, with options to register for the Artist Talk via PNCA’s official link.

In addition to art, Islamabad is also embracing spiritual growth. In a recent gathering in the G-5/1 sector, experts discussed the significance of one’s aura. It turns out that our aura—the energy field surrounding us—can influence how we’re perceived by the world. Whether you have a vibrant or subdued aura can affect not just your mental state, but your overall health. Interestingly, some speakers noted that those who experience poverty often exude the most positive auras due to their strong sense of gratitude. This insight prompts us to reconsider how we view success and happiness.

Both art and spiritual wellness are essential aspects of who we are. They help us reconnect with our inner selves and the world around us. If you’re in Islamabad, mark your calendars for these events! They offer a wonderful opportunity to not just enjoy the beauty of creativity but also to delve into the depths of personal growth and healing.
