Exciting New Year Celebrations in the UAE

As we approach 2026, the United Arab Emirates is gearing up for an unforgettable New Year’s Eve! Imagine a night filled with dazzling fireworks and stunning light displays that light up the skies from Abu Dhabi to Fujairah. This year promises to be one of the most spectacular celebrations yet, reinforcing the UAE’s reputation as a global hub for world-class events.

In Abu Dhabi, the Al Wathba area will host an extraordinary celebration, featuring one of the most extensive fireworks displays in the region. The Supreme Organising Committee of the Sheikh Zayed Festival has pulled out all the stops to bring us a night to remember. Picture this: a fireworks display that lasts over an hour with attempts to set five Guinness World Records! It all kicks off at 8 PM, building up to a 62-minute grand finale as the clock strikes midnight.

But that’s not all. Attendees can expect an incredible drone show featuring 6,500 drones flying in perfect synchrony, creating nine breathtaking artistic scenes. These performances will be unveiled globally for the first time, all perfectly timed with the fireworks countdown.

Over in Dubai, residents and visitors can enjoy more than 48 fireworks shows across 40 locations. The skyline will be aglow with spectacular displays at iconic spots like the Burj Khalifa and Atlantis The Palm, all under the watchful eye of the Security Industry Regulatory Agency.

Ras Al Khaimah is also making headlines with its ambition to hold the largest fireworks display ever. Stretching over six kilometers from Al Marjan Island to Al Hamra Island, this 15-minute show promises an unforgettable combination of fireworks, drones, and laser technologies.

Sharjah is no less impressive, with a multi-venue celebration featuring fireworks at Al Majaz Waterfront and Khorfakkan Beach among other locations. The festivities kick off at 8 PM, free to the public, embodying a spirit of unity and celebration.

Let’s not forget Ajman, Fujairah, and Umm Al Qaiwain, which will also extend their celebrations through vibrant, culturally rich events, ensuring that everyone in the UAE can join in the countdown to 2026.
